Ed Kelly Jr. is a speaker and writer with a unique spiritual journey who is able to motivate and assist others in finding their own spirituality and discovering their divine purpose in life. Ed has the vision of a spirituality that encompasses all faiths and a compassion for others.

In Dec 1975, during a Billy Graham-Corrie Ten Boom event, Ed made a decision to give his life to Jesus. In 1980, believing he had received a call to preach, Ed began his preaching ministry. But it wasn’t long till what was so simple turned complex and mean-spirited. Ed became a radical Fundamentalist –theonomist . In essence, Ed became a bigot- condemning everything that did not match up with what he thought          was absolute truth- the Bible. Homosexuals and liberals were the main target of his brimstone preaching.   In 1990, as Pastor of a small rural Church in Vinton, Iowa, he began to see the inconsistencies of some of the positions that he had held to so tenuously. He resigned as Pastor in 1995 and began an intensive study of religion and spirituality.  Slowly and steadily for two decades through prayer and the influence of such writers as Paul Tillich, James Barr and Hans Kung, – the spiritual myopia that had so blinded Ed in the past- was removed. Now Ed writes and speaks about the need for a non-partisan, non-dogmatic spirituality that embraces all faiths.

Ed is married to Rose Kelly and is a father, a grandfather and a great-grandfather.  He has a BA from Buena Vista University in Business Management, a Masters in Theology from Franciscan University (Steubenville, Ohio) and a MBA from Columbia Southern University.
